Financial Cost and Accounting Specialist

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Financial Cost and Accounting Specialist to join their team! This is a climate-controlled facility offering a wide range of perks!

Financial Cost and Accounting Specialist Shifts Available:

o 1st Shift

o Contract (1 Years with possible extension)

o $32-$41 per hour, BOE

· As a Financial and Cost Accounting Specialist based in Vance, AL, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations and cost analysis for the organization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, conducting cost analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise will contribute to informed decision-making processes and the financial health of the company. Please note that this position is for a long-term contract role.

· Perform month-end closing activities, including analysis, reconciliation, and reporting of general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.

· Enter financial data and transactions into the ledger or sub-ledger with precision and attention to detail.

· Review financial documents for accuracy, identifying and rectifying discrepancies as necessary.

· Conduct cost analysis to optimize expenses and enhance profitability.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide accounting support as needed.

· Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, transfer pricing guidelines, and company policies.

· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

· Participate in financial standards setting and forecasting processes, adhering to IFRS and company guidelines.

· Assist with special projects such as inventory management, asset disposals, audits, and vendor master data backup.

· Maintain documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and perform internal control testing as required.

· Serve as a backup for other specialists and support colleagues in their duties.

Financial Cost and Accounting Specialist Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, or related field.

· Proficiency with manufacturing ERP packages and financial software.

· Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and data linking.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

· Understanding of financial measures such as contribution margin, yield, and variance analysis.

· CPA and/or CMA certification preferred.

· Experience with PowerBI and SAP software.
