Job Overview and Responsibilities Reporting into the US Area Sales Manager, the person in this role will have a key position with responsibility to support our existing customers and grow the business in new solvent extraction application areas across the US and Canada. ? The candidates primary objective is to grow and develop the MEP sales results in North America by supporting existing customers and capturing new opportunities. ? Actively participate in the construction and implementation of the account strategy to deliver objectives ? Develop new accounts from competitive and new mining start-ups with a focus on establishing a sustainable relationship with the customer ? Complete and execute plans for new sales opportunities in coordination with the global MEP sales team ? Manage reagent supply to specific operations, as well as, planning and executing work programs designed to evaluate and optimize aspects of the solvent extraction plant performance ? Drive commercialization of New Product Introduction to the industry ? Accountable for business planning including trial and commercial proposals, sales forecasting, account planning, pricing recommendations, etc. ? Actively collect market intelligence and support the sales and marketing team in establishing the strategy in anticipation of market changes and/or evolutions. ? Establish and maintain excellent work relationships with the technical services support team ? Apply and safeguard the application of Solvay safety regulations in all circumstances ? Ensure compliance to internal reporting requirement including but not limited to call report / service report / monthly highlight / trial proposal / trial report ? Comply to Solvay policies such as code of conduct, anti-bribery, antitrust, business travel expense guidelines Education and Experience ? Possess a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy or Chemistry. Skills ? An understanding of unit operations upstream and downstream from the solvent extraction process is preferred. ? Creative and analytical thinking are necessary in order to resolve problems that occur in the day to day activities ? Demonstrate good technical and commercial sense with a high focus on value selling ? Desire to build excellent customer relationships while promoting Solvay products to the benefit of the client ? Demonstrate excellent project management skills related to planning and execution to achieve business results ? Expert competency in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint and/or google chrome equivalent programs ? Possess excellent writing skills in support of information exchanges with customers and internally within Solvay ?
