Zimmer Marble has been family owned and operated since 1975. We are the premier choice for countertop fabrication and installation in the mid-Michigan area. We’re building a new field team with members that are committed to learning or developing skills as craftsmen in the countertop industry. Roles and Responsibilities

• Install granite, quartz, marble, soapstone, and porcelain countertops following SOPs
• Make adjustments to pieces in the field to fit custom spaces (cuts, holes, edge polishing, etc.)
• Measure and cut to within 1/32” tolerance
• Attach sinks and other hardware (no plumbing)
• Remove existing countertops when necessary
• Install structural supports when necessary
• Modify existing cabinetry to accept stone when necessary
• Maintain clean and safe work environments (job sites and vans)
• Leave job sites cleaner than you found them
• Handle customer concerns with professionalism
• Troubleshoot issues in a calm and collected manner
• Communicate clearly with team members, office staff, and customers
• Present as a clean, kind, and well intended professional
• Assist with shop activities as necessary

Daily Activities & Objectives

• Review daily schedule and plan for the day at morning meetings
• Carefully load vans with counters, hardware, and paperwork for day’s activities
• Call customer’s with ETAs
• Install / remove countertops as assigned
• Clean and restock vans
• Prep for following day
• Assist with shop work (inventory, staging, table turns, etc.)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Countertop installation experience
• Proficiency with a tape measure
• Proficiency with hand tools
• Ability to lift 100lbs multiple times / day
• Ability to stand for 8 hours / day
• Proficiency with hand tools (grinders, levels, tape measures, drills, etc.)
• Good communication skills
• Great customer service
• Ability to adjust on the go
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Carpentry experience
• Countertop fabrication experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
