What does the job entail?

The role of Lead IT Systems Engineer encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the efficient operation and advancement of critical IT infrastructure within Monarch Tractor. This role requires individuals who are self-motivated and possess strong technical understanding and communication skills. The successful candidate will be a key driver in maintaining robust IT infrastructure and automating key processes to support a dynamic, growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be self-motivated individuals who can understand technical concepts, have excellent communication skills, and be able and willing to collaborate on technical items with the larger team.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of new technologies and major releases for the most critical enterprise-wide IT infrastructure projects.
  • Mentor, coach, develop and manage junior staff on processes and technologies.
  • Monitor and resolve automated system alerts and alarms that indicate system functions were not completed within established service levels.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and tune systems.
  • Write documentation, including policies and procedures.
  • Respond to platform inquiries and resolve the most complex issues.
  • Administer system activities (e.g., internet availability).

More Practical Skills Needed:

  • BA or equivalent years of experience in Computer Sciences and/or Information Technology.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience designing, configuration and administering IT Systems
  • Experience documenting business process workflows, enterprise systems architecture.
  • MacOS, Linux Desktop and Server, Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems
  • Experience documenting business process workflows, enterprise systems architecture.

This is not a remote position. This will be a position on-site in Livermore, CA.
