Zhang Sah Martial Arts and Learning Center is Hiring a Martial Arts Assistant Instructor Near Philadelphia, PA

Martial Arts Instructor
Zhang Sah Martial Arts and Learning Centers are growing! We are working with schools, childcare, recreation centers, and community organizations to bring the benefits of martial arts to children and youth throughout Philadelphia. We have a special emphasis on supporting positive youth development and educational outcomes for children who are at-risk. We need your help to meet the needs of the children need us the most.

Ideal candidates have at a minimum advanced martial arts experience in Tae Kwon Do or a related martial art (Karate, Tang Soo, Tae Kwon Do, or Hapkido) with a minimum of one year of experience working with children (in other setting is acceptable). Background checks are required. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years is required.

DUTIES:

Martial Arts:

  • Model Zhang Sah's mission, vision, and tenets (visit www.zhangsah.org)
  • Continue studying martial arts also with Zhang Sah
  • Implement Zhang Sah's curriculum with fidelity
  • Physically present during program time
  • Plan, Prepare and implement lessons
  • Inspire student progress
  • Supervise students
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and co-workers
  • Proactively monitor environment for safety and ensure interactions with children are high quality, positive and progressive
  • Class room preparation and clean up – includes all facilities and equipment used by students and staff.
  • Complete on time related administrative duties (attendance, reports, etc…)
  • Attend and participate in professional development sessions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:
