Zeus is Hiring a Corporate Planning Manager Near COLUMBIA, SC

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in planning and inventory software systems, procedures, and training. 
  • Perform fit/gap analysis of the overall solution, analyze user needs requirements and identify tools/ functionality that can be implemented to address those needs.
  • Collaborate with Site Materials Management, Corporate Materials and Business Analytics/ Business Intelligence teams to identify optimum software solutions to meet user needs.
  • Develop/maintain Master Production Schedule/perform capacity planning at Plant and corporate level as needed.
  • Manage all Planner/Scheduling activities, corporate-wide assuring coverage and labor utilization is consistent with corporate goals.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities with the Sales and Marketing Divisions when constrained resources will affect our customer service levels.
  • Train planning staff at all five facilities in production planning systems, cross train production personnel where needed.
  • Reroute jobs to keep corporate utilization optimal, OT low, and shipments balanced across multiple facilities.
  • Review product mix requirements and plant capabilities, and advise when additions for product mix may be necessary to maximize utilization.
  • Review/report on lead times for product classes with plant management as well as the sales and marketing team.
  • Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities to support capacity plans and implement actions for improvement and maintenance by establishing site(s) capacity levels, and key constraints to drive forecasting and planning 

Additional responsibilities

  • Lead and support, current and future state, Supply Chain operations process mapping exercises
  • Provide input to design the Supply Planning operating model for the future state to transform into an integrated end to end planning organization
  • Lead and support ongoing efforts to refine KPIs and metrics to measure progress and drive success through the utilization of audits and reviews. 
  • Experience executing projects in a supply chain vertical or across the end-to-end Supply Chain through quantitative analysis and presentation development skills.
  • Responsible for developing and supporting the realization of strategic plans and management agendas.
  • Ability to influence and communicate across multiple organizational levels, functions, and business units the need for process changes directly and indirectly.
  • Creation of a Global Supply Chain functional plan that pulls together previously independent site-based planning activities into a consolidated and transparent process by challenging the business norms and offering stainable solutions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • 4-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or analytics related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Production Planning and inventory control
  • Experience managing a production planning and/or inventory control in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Must be proficient in use of computer software programs (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, and ERP/MRP).
  • Proficient in Incorta or other data analytic tools 
  • Oracle or other ERP system experience or training
  • Decision-making and leadership skills 
  • Ability to achieve consistent high-quality results with minimal supervision
  • Ability to drive and influence change 
  • Must have leadership experience collaborating with senior leaders to include flexibility 
  • Soft Skills needed include: customer focus, negotiating, peer relationships, business acumen
