Summary of Responsibilities
Our experienced estimator will collaborate with our awesome design team and skilled production team to accurately budget and plan kitchens, bathrooms, and home remodeling projects.The ideal candidate is team-oriented, intellectually curious, and open-minded.This person can execute by working quickly to make decisions and taking action in an environment of limited resources.
Essential List of Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing field notes, sketches, pictures, and plans/specifications.
• Manage onsite meetings with designers, project manager and subcontractors to obtain accurate bids.
• Perform quantity take-offs for select trades.
• Work with design to solidify takeoffs and orders for selections.
• Develop and prepare ballpark estimates with minimal subcontractor assistance using limited preliminary design documents/information.
• Ensure that Vendor and supplier prices are accurate and up to date.
• Create written estimates/Contract Agreement for customers that describe the scope of work estimated in an easy-to-read format.
• Create or improve templates to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Prepare descriptive purchase orders for subcontractors.
• Visit each jobsite to get an understanding of the logistics and challenges at each site.
• Interact witharchitects, engineers, and local jurisdictions to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, costs, etc.
• Review past estimates for accuracy and incorporate findings in process improvements and recommendations.
• Most importantly, an individual who has a good attitude and enjoys precision work.

Experience and Education

• Senior Project Manager experienced in residential remodeling, skilled in budget management, with intermediate or higher computer proficiency with estimating experience.

OR

• Experienced Estimator with 3 years of experience estimating for Residential or Commercial projects.

Required Skills Abilities

• Strong math skills and ability to calculate area and volume.
• Tech savvy, having an ability to learn new software easily.
• Keen eye for detail requirements of estimating and proper bid preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic designs and construction documents.
• Able to understand unique site characteristics, restrictions, and requirements.
• General construction, materials, and tools knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Profit driven seeks ways to cut costs and improve efficiency.
• Ability to handle adversity and challenges.
• Proficiencywith MS Excel.
• Experience with BuilderTrend is a plus.
