Description

Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.

We are currently seeking a Youth Summer Program Coordinator to provide administrative & supervision to youth summer program staff. This position will assist the Director of Youth Services and training of new staff. The secondary purpose is to provide a wide range of therapeutic services to youth experiencing mental health needs and to ensure their needs are addressed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists Youth Integrated Care Coordinator. As a member of the Youth Program Department Management Team, provides administrative coverage for the department.
  • Demonstrates leadership and supervision skills that lead to acceptable/expected levels of productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of team members in expecting and providing excellent care to clients.
  • Manges day to day operations of Summer Program
  • Assisting creating daily group lessons
  • Provides personal management functions for assigned staff including c administrative supervision, evaluations, participates in hiring, disciplinary action and other personal management functions.
  • Assists preparing the staff and department in meeting monthly reports, financial reports, and site visit.
  • Keeps current on trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
  • Adheres to high ethical and legal standards of professional practice per state, professional, agency, and regulating standards.
  • Assists with staff orientation, training of staff and staff evaluations.
  • Performs, on a reduced basis, all duties of a therapist to ensure quality services to clients.
  • May be on infrequent on-call and is available to take phone calls as scheduled. Provides back up for other staff.
  • Completes required paperwork in accordance with timelines and standards required by the agency, regulatory bodies and payers. Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Responsible for creating an agenda, planning, and executing staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific/Individual Competencies:

  • Demonstrable leadership skills
  • Experience working with the youth population.
  • Must maintain current CPR, First-Aid and Crisis intervention training.

Organizational Competencies:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the agency mission, vision, goals and philosophy as well as the policies and procedures.
  • Strives for high client satisfaction by providing leadership and/or assistance to coworkers and clients through the integrated care process.
  • Demonstrate consistent professionalism.
  • Demonstrate teamwork.

Requirements

  • Education in related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience in a supervisory role
  • Preferred experience working with the at-risk youth population.

Those eligible to drive company vehicles must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage as defined by the agency commercial insurance carrier. Those who drive personal vehicles in the course of business must be able to provide proof of insurance.

May be eligible for a bonus if certain conditions apply, including not having worked in Community behavioral health in the last 30 days.
