Description

Zepf Center, a non-profit organization, is a comprehensive provider of behavioral health services in the Northwest Ohio, Toledo area that provides a broad array of mental health and substance abuse services to adults and youth.

We are currently seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to provide direct clinical and nursing services to the sites of Zepf Center. This person will provide advocacy, linking, managing of symptoms, and evaluation of medication. Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Collaborates, as required by State Law and by the Standard Care Arrangement, with their Collaborating Psychiatrist at Zepf, regarding treatment issues as appropriate
2. Provides for medical services and psychiatric examination, diagnoses and treatment of clients, providing ongoing monitoring of all treatments provided, and assesses the results of lab work, taking appropriate action as required.
3. Prescribes and monitors the use of medications as indicated and appropriate within the scope of her/his license and the rules of Advanced Practice Nursing and its current formulary as designated by Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 4723-9.
4. Provides other treatment procedures, as credentialed
5. Ensures appropriate hospitalization of her/his clients as indicated and Zepf Clients if required.
6. Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth. Participates in necessary nursing, medical, and Zepf-mandated educational activities/training, required for sustaining licensure, meeting Zepf policy and sustaining clinical competency

Requirements

1. Must be licensed to practice nursing and have met the qualifications for a certified practicing APN-CNS, ANP, FNP or PMHN.
2. Must have prescriptive authority with a valid DEA Registration
3. Must have at least two years relevant professional experience
4. Must be able to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
5. Must be proficient and accurate in computer use and able to handle a high usage of the computer

Zepf Center provides a full continuum of care which includes a trauma-informed environment for both patients and staff.
