Zentech Manufacturing I is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Baltimore, MD

Job Description: The Quality Engineering Technician participates/handles all aspects of issues associated with quality techniques to sustain the production floor and quality engineering. The Quality Engineering Tech may report to the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all activities related to Source Inspection 
  • Assist all customers during source inspection as assigned 
  • Generate First Article Inspection (FAI) reports as per AS9102 requirements
  • Assist in the Final Quality Inspection and/or Final Quality Audit
  • Assist in the Investigations and resolutions of quality issues on the production floor 
  • Collect daily, weekly/monthly First Pass Yield (FPY) and defect data for Quality Reports
  • Teams up with QE, ME, supervisors and leads to ensure product requirements are met
  • Ensure all tools and equipment in the QA areas are calibrated
  • Actively participate in all activities leading to process improvement

Skills

  • Hands-on inspection skills and sound knowledge of quality assurance principles
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications 
  • Broad knowledge of electro-mechanical inspection methods and techniques
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner within loosely defined situations 
  • Foster and maintain professional and productive relationships within organization
  • Possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat programs 
  • Ability to lead and participate in organizational performance and goal setting

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-years’ experience in QC, QA or manufacturing
  • Associate degree or diploma in a technical field preferably in Electronic technology
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures. 
  • Ability to understand and sustain critical processes
  • IPC-A-610 &/or J-STD-00, IPC-600 and/or IPC-6012 Certified Specialist preferred
  • Familiarity with safety or OSHA requirement is a plus
  • Knowledge of Quality and/or Engineering processes and terms is a plus

Physical Demands:

While performing these duties, the employee is required to sit, use hands, reach with hand and arm, and talk or hear. Employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
