Under general direction of the CPE IT Director, Designs and maintain MS-SQL based data warehouse in support of financial reports, web-based applications, and various campus data connections. Develop and maintain documentation related to various scheduled processes, server configurations, scripts and quires. This position provides expert administration of those databases as follows: Install, upgrade, and patch the RDBMS. Create and maintain databases. Create and maintain tablespaces. Performance tuning and monitoring. Capacity planning. Troubleshooting and problem resolution. Data export/import. Backup and recovery. Security management, data encryption. Stand-by database management (for disaster recovery). Develop and maintain production SQL scripts and scheduled process using various programming languages.
In conjunction with the CPE lead system administrator, specify server resource upgrades, OS and MS-SQL updates/patches.
