Job Description:

This recruitment is seeking an experienced ETL developer to work in the Enterprise section. The incumbent will be responsible for ETL design, development, testing, maintenance, metadata and implementation of data warehouse initiatives.They must understand user requirements and implement solutions that ensure requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables that support critical work of the organization.

  • This person will develop ETL mapping specifications for loading information into the data warehouse and for ensuring reliability of information loaded.
  • They will seek continuous improvement in performance & tuning of data warehouse and ensure security of data.
  • This developer will monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards.
  • The incumbent will work with other IT technical teams and program area users to understand requirements, recommend and implement solutions.
  • This developer will work with minimal supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
  • This developer should have strong communication and leadership skills, be willing and able to assist and mentor less experienced peers and be a team player.
  • Prior experience building and supporting Collection-focused data products, such as Benefits Recovery Investigation Tracking System (BRITS), and experience with the referral/investigation lifecycle and claims processing is required. Experience with SQL Server is required.

  • Demonstrate skills in establishing data warehouse best practice standards.

  • Provide strong data management and data analysis using SQL.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of meetings and requirements gathering with customers and technical staff.
  • Show effective interpersonal relations skills and the ability to collaborate with others and work as part of a team, as well as being able to communicate at many levels of the organization.
  • Leverage skills to navigating a large organization in order to accomplish results and initiate and follow-through on complex projects of both short- and long-term duration.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Show strong ability to work independently, assume responsibility for job development and training, researching and resolving questions and problems.


Top 3-4 desired skills required for the position:

  • Strong skills in data warehousing process design, development, performance & tuning using the Informatica data warehousing tool suite.
  • Demonstrated skills in understanding and implementing data warehouse architecture, including programming in relational database technologies (e.g., Oracle, DB2, SQL Server).
  • Clear knowledge of data integration strategies and solutions.
  • Exceptional experience building and supporting Collection-focused business intelligence products and experience with the State of Wisconsin referral/investigation lifecycle and claims processing is required.
