Registered Nurse Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Location:- Seattle, WA 98122

Duration:- 13 Weeks

Shift:- Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) / Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Pay rate:- $62 - $67/hr W2

Responsibilities of Registered Nurse Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of postpartum mothers, including monitoring vital signs, assessing uterine involution, evaluating perineal healing, and providing emotional support.
  • Educate mothers on postpartum recovery, self-care practices, breastfeeding techniques, and warning signs of complications, promoting maternal well-being and confidence.
  • Perform newborn assessments, including Apgar scoring, vital signs monitoring, skin-to-skin care, and assessment of feeding cues and behaviors.
  • Support newborn care practices such as diapering, bathing, cord care, and safe sleep practices, ensuring newborn safety and comfort.
  • Promote family-centered care and encourage skin-to-skin contact and rooming-in practices to facilitate maternal-infant bonding and breastfeeding initiation.
  • Facilitate family education sessions on newborn care, infant feeding, safe sleep practices, and infant development, empowering families to care for their newborns at home.
  • Provide lactation support, assistance with breastfeeding latch and positioning, and guidance on breastfeeding techniques, milk expression, and management of common breastfeeding challenges.
  • Collaborate with lactation consultants and breastfeeding support teams to address complex breastfeeding issues and support mothers' breastfeeding goals.

Requirements for Registered Nurse Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

  • Min 2 years of experience.
  • High Risk Obstetric care experience
  • Valid RN license
  • BLS
  • Covid card
