Pay rate:- $54 - $59/hr W2

Responsibilities of Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Neuro

• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, including cranial nerve assessments, motor and sensory function evaluations, cognitive assessments, and neurovascular assessments, to monitor patients' neurological status and detect changes.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures such as craniotomies, spinal surgeries, tumor resections, and shunt placements. Monitor patients closely for signs of complications, neurological deficits, and postoperative recovery progress.
• Utilize specialized monitoring equipment such as intracranial pressure (ICP) monitors, EEG monitoring, and neurologic assessment tools to monitor patients' neurological status, vital signs, and responses to treatments and interventions.
• Administer neuro-specific medications, including antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), pain management medications, thrombolytics, and corticosteroids, following physician orders and protocols. Monitor medication effects, side effects, and therapeutic responses closely.
• Assist with neurological interventions and procedures such as lumbar punctures, EEG electrode placements, nerve blocks, and neurologic assessments during code situations. Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other specialists in implementing care plans and interventions.

Requirements for Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Neuro

• Min 1 year of experience.
• Valid RN license
• BLS, BCLS, NIH
• Covid card
