Pay rate:- $80- $92/hr W2.

Responsibilities of Registered Nurse - EP Lab

1. Pre-procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for EP procedures, including explaining the procedure, obtaining consent, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
2. Assistance During Procedures: Assist physicians during EP procedures by providing necessary instruments and equipment, monitoring patient vital signs, and maintaining a sterile field.
3. Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients closely before, during, and after EP procedures, including assessing vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to medication.
4. Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including sedatives, antiarrhythmics, and other medications necessary for patient care during EP procedures.
5. Documentation: Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including patient assessments, interventions, medications administered, and patient responses to treatment.
6. Patient Education: Provide patient and family education regarding EP procedures, post-procedure care, and medications.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, technicians, and other nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care in the EP Lab.
8. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the EP Lab to enhance patient outcomes and safety.

Requirements for Registered Nurse - EP Lab

1. Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
2. Experience: Previous experience in a cardiac care setting, preferably in an EP Lab or cardiac catheterization lab, is highly desirable.
3. Certification: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. Additional certifications in cardiac nursing or electrophysiology nursing are preferred.
4. Skills:
   • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
   • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
   • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
   • Proficiency in cardiac monitoring equipment and interpretation of cardiac rhythms.
   • Competence in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation.
5. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients, and maneuver equipment as needed during EP procedures.
