Zen Educate is looking for educators who are passionate about teaching and positively contributing to the lives of children in Douglas County. We’re currently hiring for Special Educational Assistants. In this role you will support licensed teachers with academic adaptations, self-care, and social/behavioral needs.

Key Duties:

• Assisting licensed staff in the classroom
• Aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)
• Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Work with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented
• Provides support for students in crisis
• Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Experience working with children

Preferred Requirements:

• First Aid & CPR Certification
• Previous experience working in special education
• Crisis prevention training
• Behavioral Technician or PCA experience

Additional Requirements:

Pay:

• $15 - $22 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
