Position Overview

The Business Analyst is responsible for enabling high quality business analytics solutions in an Agile context that deliver valued business outcomes and informed decisions for Zelis' key stakeholders. The Business Analyst serves as bridge to facilitate clear and open communication between Business Owners, Product and Technical Partners. This role provides a major contribution to enhancing Zelis' overall capacity to meet the information technology needs of an ever-changing healthcare market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration and Expertise: You'll interact withProduct Management,Development,Client Management, and operations as asubject matter expert. Your insights will help align shared services initiatives.

  • Requirements Gathering and Validation: Through the collaboration with stakeholders togather, analyze, document, and communicateboth business and system requirements. Your expertise will ensure alignment with business methodologies.

  • User-Centric Approach: You'll translate these requirements intouser stories, ensuring aclearer,more detailed, andcomprehensive understandingof project deliverables.

  • Agile Participation: Active participation inagile ceremonieswill be essential. Your insights will contribute to efficient project execution.

  • Documentation and Communication: You'll providedetailed documentationfor software updates and existing system functionality. This resource will serve as a reference for future technical solutions and/or business operations.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely withBusiness Owners, Product Management,Development,QA, andUAT, you'll ensure that requirements areproperly realized upon release to production.

  • Continuous Improvement: Business Analysts are perpetual problem-solvers. You'll actively seek ways to enhance thecurrent state("AS-IS") by recommending a moreefficient future state("TO-BE").

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in a field related to medical coding and medical claims and/or healthcare revenue cycle management

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of healthcare EDI and healthcare consumer engagement

  • Exceptional organization with a proven track record of driving results

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Ability to identify key factors and decisions that will make a project successful

  • Ability to see the big picture and learn new processes, technologies and envision how they could benefit Zelis

  • Strong group facilitation and presentation skills

  • Ability to work through others without direct supervisory responsibility within departments and across the organization and with outside vendors
