Job Summary:

ZelTech is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to our mission of delivering cutting-edge software solutions to our government clients. The successful candidate will be expected to integrate and conform to the customer’s Enterprise Infrastructure Baseline, participate in the development environment testing, and support the installation of software into customer’s Continuous Integration (CI) Pipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Perform code modifications and participate in software development processes directly alongside government technical teams.
• Assist in automating and optimizing critical software algorithms, ensuring software compliance with military IT standards, and contributing to the development and integration of innovative IT solutions.
• Work with the other organizational branches for the modification of codes, facilitate software approval and make additional changes to the algorithms as required.
• Work closely with government technical SMEs to automate specialized codes and algorithms and ensure new Environmental Modeling and Simulation members to ensure efficient use of developed tools.
• Ensure all IT products, including software, hardware, and processes, adhere to the customer’s Enterprise Infrastructure Baseline, proposing any necessary deviations for approval.
• Adopt and execute the Preferred Agile Framework as outlined by the Department of the Air Force, contributing to an adaptable and efficient development process.
• Contribute to customer-required deliverables, including code documentation and other necessary artifacts.
• Demonstrate ability to enhance algorithms and develop software that meets or exceeds operational requirements.

Requirements:

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have current Top Secret clearance w/SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Leverage expertise in Python, Java, C , HTML, and various databases to automate High-Performance Computing (HPC) algorithms and support the development of critical software tools. 
• Ten (10) or more years of demonstrable experience in software development or engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C , HTML, and familiarity with various databases (e.g., Access, SQL, Oracle).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and adapt to changing requirements.
• Successful background and drug screening check.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experienced in Environmental Modeling and Simulation (EMS) or High-Performance Computing environments.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
