Responsible for the washing of company trucks, outside vehicles, and keeping the Maintenance Garage work area, Wash Bay, and grounds in clean and orderly condition and performing light maintenance.

• Provide washing services to the company and outside customer’s equipment as needed, applying the correct chemicals and cleaners.
• Maintain the wash bay equipment in good mechanical working order.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and cleans garage, wash bay area, travel center and grounds. Applies floor drier as needed for spilled oil and other chemicals.
• Assists mechanic in preventative maintenance, light repairs, tire changes, and other duties as directed.
• Maintains Maintenance building, performing minor and routine painting, and other related maintenance activities.
• Degreases and cleans various machinery and equipment.
• Arranges boxes, materials, parts and/or other equipment in neat and orderly manner. Pick up/delver parts as needed.
Clean and maintain company owned passenger vehicles.
Level 2 (Duties 1 – 8 in addition to the below, must be 18 years old)
• Ability to move trucks around the yard (no CDL).
Ability to work in tanker wash area.
Level 3 (Duties 1 – 9 in addition to the below, must be 18 years old)
• Ability to drive trucks on roadway (possess CDL).
• Helps support and ensure compliance with company Safety/Environmental/Quality/HR program policies and procedures.
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety requirements.
• Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
• Education: High School or Equivalent
• Experience : 6 months
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Mechanically inclined and able to perform light maintenance or repairs.
• Ability to be respirator fit tested and trained.
• Ability to climb tankers or containers using a harness.
• Maintain good attendance habits.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with other department managers, working to maintain constructive working relationships under all circumstances.
• Abide by all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
