Position Description Interns studying finance and/or accounting are encouraged to apply! Interns will work on a variety of strategic projects and work cross functionally to complete work related to penetrating Zayo’s existing markets, leverage Zayo’s assets, and/or Zayo data integrity. Projects may include but are not limited to: data clean up, month-end activities, and various analysis projects. Other tasks and responsibilities can be assigned throughout the summer. *Please note: We're open to this role working in a hybrid capacity from our Denver or Boulder West offices with 1-2 days/week in the office and the flexibility to work remotely 3-4 days/week. Responsibilities Purchase Order (PO) clean up and validation Improve capital project analysis to drive efficiencies and understand return on given projects Account and expense reconciliation Implement and develop Salesforce reports to assist in analysis Work cross-functionally with accounting, data, IT, and FP&A teams to improve processes and systems that support financial reporting Clerical support including data entry, validation, and clean up Provide Board and internal presentation support Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Studying Finance, Economics, Accounting or related degree Possess basic modeling skills and understanding of earning supplements Experience analyzing financial information and data to derive insights for business improvements a plus Experience with Salesforce or OneStream a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; G Suite products a plus Extreme attention to detail with a keen eye on accuracy Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and turn information into reports Must be flexible and able to deal with a number of variables in dynamic situations Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively, with excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent communicator; willing to write to, speak to, and communicate with all levels and across functions of the organization Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions Ability to view issues and concerns from multiple perspectives, and to keep the “big picture” in focus Strong sense of teamwork highly desired High energy individual with strong work ethic and ability to multitask Must be a self-motivator Ability to maintain confidentiality Be capable of performing all month beginning/end closing activities (Weekly Forecast, Variance Analysis, etc.) CO base Hourly Rate: $20.00/hour *Please note: Benefits are not offered for internships.
