A day in the life of a pizza Zealot:

• Work quickly and calmly around hot ovens
• Proper preparation (make, bake, and garnish) and standard presentation of all pizzas
• Food prep, clean as you go, and expo (better known as Pizza Sheriff)
• Maintain quality standards and consistency of food by complying with sanitation standards and ongoing training & development
• Lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods of time

Shift Lead Specifications:

• Must have an understanding of company policies and procedures
• Must ensure that your team follows company policies and procedures
• Exhibit strong communication skills
• Manage cook line to drive the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality and speed
• Lead shift opening and closing procedures to maintain facilities and equipment to the highest standards
• Responsible for all occurences during shift
• Must complete Food Manager Safety Certification
• Learn operation support functions
• Purchasing
• Receiving
• Accounting processes
• Inventory

Must love pizza and:

• Food Handler’s certification is required. If you do not have one, we will pay for you to get one

Zalat Pizza is on a romantic mission to become a national multi-unit pizzeria with handmade product at mass volume. Best known for serving specialty pizzas with unique flavor combinations, Zalat has become a late-night staple across DFW.
