Job DescriptionPosition Requirements:
- Must have working knowledge of the basic processes and equipment used in new construction
- Must be organized
- Must have the ability to complete an accurate inventory of items received, issued, and transferred
- Must have good communication skills, including the ability to read and write effectively.
- Must be familiar with basic computer operations. IE: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must be able to follow directions.
- Must be detailed Orientated
- Must be able to train, advise and mentor direct reports
- Receive and conduct inventory of all Materials entering job site
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or in Laydown areas.
- Complete checks and balance of all packing slip, verify the accuracy of information, data has been inventoried, completed and turned into materials clerk prior to COB.
- Unpack distributed equipment and materials; store in appropriate location until issued.
- Notify appropriate department when ordered equipment and materials has arrived {If required deliver equipment and or Materials to appropriate department}
- Maintain inventory control by continuous tracking and conducting a percentage of inventory monthly.
- Use identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to mark all goods.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damages to Materials Manager.
- Provide assistance and direction to other Toolroom, Warehouse, Materials staff.
- Must have 5 years of experience working in a warehouse.
- Must have 4 years of experience working for an industrial construction project in a warehouse or equivalent material handler position
- Current Zachry, Zachry ROF’ed employee or other Construction Project
- Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc. or other Construction Project
- Previous experience as a Foreman or above with Zachry Industrial, Inc. or other Construction Project
- Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
- Will talk and hear to communicate.
- Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
- May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
- Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
