Piper Companies is looking for a Linux System Administrator to join a government contractor, working onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Harford County. This is a contract to hire opportunity with a great client that is looking to move quickly!
Essential Duties of theLinux System Administrator:

• Provide guidance for directing/monitoring information systems
• Install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems
• Analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions
• Monitor and respond to hardware, software and network problems
• Manage the purchase, testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems

Qualifications of theLinux System Administrator:

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field is required
• 2 years relevant technical experience required
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Minimum Secret clearance required with ability to obtain Top Secret

Compensation for theLinux System Administrator:

• $80,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
