Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking an IT Support Engineer to maintain and enhance software and hardware systems at a new biotechnology facility. The IT Support Engineer will be vital in establishing technology systems at a new site including: proposals and design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support. This is a full time (FTE) opportunity with traditional (M - F) working hours in Wilson, North Carolina.
Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:

• Spearhead IT projects by working with leaders across the organization and management of third-party vendors
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and network devices
• Provide onsite support to end users and ensure effective resolutions
• Perform maintenance and upgrades to ensure smooth operation of IT systems within the manufacturing environment
• Train staff on new and existing IT systems and software
• Manage IT inventory including equipment, software and supplies

Qualifications of the IT Support Engineer:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in Manufacturing IT
• Experience managing IT systems at the site level
• Proven understanding of software that supports manufacturing like ERP, MES, and SCADA systems
• Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principals
• B.S. in Computer Science, System Engineering, or a related field of study, or applicable industry experience

Compensation of the IT Support Engineer:

• $87,000 - $100,000
