A. The Biomedical Equipment Technician will play a crucial role in providing support to the safe handling and upgrading of medical equipment.

The ideal candidate should possess previous experience as a Technician Support in a Lab environment.

Location : Aurora, CO

• Keep devices up and running by conducting corrective maintenance by diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in medical devices, adhering to manufacturer's guidelines and technical specifications.
• Install, calibrate, and configure medical equipment, following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines - inform and train other team members on how to properly use equipment.
• Perform software repairs and updates on medical devices to address software glitches, improve functionality, and ensure compatibility with other systems - Preferred experience with Cerner EHR systems
• Conduct electrical safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards associated with medical equipment operation, cords, and plugs.

Qualifications of the Biomedical Equipment Technician

• Associate degree or higher in Applied Science or other relatable degree (biology, chemistry, nursing)
• 5 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, performing medical equipment maintenance
• Completed and up-to-date Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations is REQUIRED
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US Citizen)
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings

Compensation of the Biomedical Equipment Technician

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Salary range : $65,000 - $87,000
