Job Description: -

We a metal stamping company is looking for you! We have significant growth in our business and need to strengthen our tool room support.

We will train experienced machinists (experts on manual lathes, grinders, hand tools, drill presses, troubleshoot and work through stamping die issues and repairs).

Exceptional candidates may be asked to interview for a lead position at a higher pay rate.

The Toolmaker applies knowledge of tool and die design and construction, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout, machining, and assembly procedures to repair and fabricate dies.

The ideal candidate will have Tool and Die making (four-year apprenticeship preferred) experience in a stamping plant:

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and debugs progressive die tooling. Repair of any problems.
• Provide Engineering expertise, direction and assistance as required in resolving tooling related problems.
• Experience working with large progressive, transfer and deep draw dies.
• Installs tool sensors when applicable.
• Assist in the development and the maintenance of tooling.
• Develops, proposes and implements tooling and equipment improvements to foster an environment of continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
