Job Description:

CLient is looking for Second Shift Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) with Truck as will as Trailer repair experience for our Davenport Iowa location.

This position does not require a CDL but having one or the willingness to obtain a CDL license is highly preferred.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties

• Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment. Along with all types of Trucks and Trailers
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
• Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
• Meet requirements for certifications.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Requirements

• Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
• Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
• Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
• Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
• Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train and Automatic Transmissions.
