Summary
Client Maintenance Technicians are responsible for completing all maintenance and repairs, either major or minor, on all client vehicles.
Essential Functions
Performs major or minor repairs.
Conducts preventative maintenance and inspections on all client vehicles.
Ability to proficiently operate all client vehicles (if an applicant is not currently in possession of a CDL-B with appropriate endorsements, they will be required to obtain a permit, with proper endorsements, prior to beginning employment).
Conducts safety audits on vehicles.
Competencies
Knowledge of heavy-duty gasoline, diesel engines; bus, truck, and car frames; and undercarriage components.
Ability to troubleshoot problems/challenges and skill in solving problems.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position oversees no direct reports.
Work Environment
This job operates in a shop environment occasionally exposed to elements and weather.
Position Expected Hours of Work
Monday-Friday: Shift assigned per union contract. Shop operates 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
Off Saturday and Sunday.
Required Education and Experience
Experience performing maintenance on commercial vehicles.
High school diploma or GED.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Must be able to operate all company vehicles.
Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a Good Driving Record.
Beneficial Education and Experience
Knowledge of CNG and/or Electric (Hydrogen) powered engines.
