YWCA St. Paul is Hiring a YWWorks Specialist - Part Time Near Saint Paul, MN

YWCA St Paul is in search of a part-time YWWorks Specialist to join our team! The YWWorks Specialist is responsible for assisting the MFIP team in case management services and processes. This includes completing program overview and intake sessions for new referred cases, collaborating with Employment Counselors in material preparation, scheduling appointments, and collecting participant hours and data. The individual must proactively work to connect participants to resources and services, as well as assist the YWWorks Manager with other projects/duties as assigned.

Supportive Employment Based Case Management

· Assist MFIP team by providing general case management aide services to participants.

· Complete program overview intake with new referred cases.

· Collaborate with the MFIP team to prepare files/materials, schedule meeting appointments, enter data, auditing and maintaining files.

· Collect participant hours depending on individual employment plan.

· Assist participants with career search activities.

· Connect program participants to appropriate services and resources (childcare, housing, mental health/disability services, education, training, etc.

· Complete case notes accurately within Workforce One and other databases for each participant.

· Assist the YWWorks Manager with other MFIP related work as needed to reach outcomes.

· Assist with support service purchasing, gathering of information on cases, referrals, and extensions.

· Co-facilitate workshops that advance skills-building empowerment and leadership.

· Assist with projects and other duties as assigned.

YWCA Agency

· Represent YWCA by building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, public service initiatives, Ramsey County, educational systems, health care providers, and employers to ensure effective coordination of services.

· Promote YWCA mission, guiding principles, equity statement, and agency communications.

· Align with YWCA St. Paul’s mission and bring a new level of creativity and innovation to the organization.

· Represent YWCA St. Paul in the community, including networking and representation on working groups.

Minimum Qualifications

· An associate degree or at least one year of college education along with two years of experience in human services or advocacy.

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Able to lead group-based, experiential learning around life skills and soft skills.

· Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and the ability to manage conflict constructively.

· Skilled in managing time and meeting deadlines.

· Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.

· Basic ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Access to reliable transportation for day travel.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with MFIP and its reporting systems.

Schedule and Salary

This position is a part-time non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), working most of the time in the office in St Paul, Minnesota, with remote work being a consideration.

Regular scheduled hours are Monday - Friday:

· Option 1: Two 8-hour shifts per week AND one 4-hour shift per week for a total of 20 hours per week.

· Option 2: Five 4-hour shifts per week for a total of 20 hours per week.

The pay for this position is $17.00-$20.00 per hour.
