Description

YWCA Oklahoma City offers victims of domestic violence (DV), sexual assault (SA), and stalking immediate crisis response services through our C.A.R.E. and H.O.P.E programs. The C.A.R.E. programs includes the following services: Crisis hotlines, Advocacy, emergency Residential shelter, and forensic nurse Exams. The H.O.P.E. programs includes Healing, Opportunities, Prevention, and Education. YWCA OKC services are provided at our primary location, through staff embedded at the Palomar Family Justice Center and local hospitals throughout the metro Oklahoma City area.

The YWCA Oklahoma City is searching for a full-time Maintenance Technician. 

-Analyze and prioritize maintenance requests from YWCA staff

-Maintain buildings and grounds of all YWCA facilities.

-Receive and respond to after-hours call for maintenance emergencies and security system alarms.

-Assist in assurance that all facility safety inspections (fire alarms, security systems, sprinklers, etc.) are current and documented appropriately.

-Request estimates and submit estimates/bids to (Director of Facilities and Security) for approval as needed for large equipment and maintenance items

-Develop and maintain relationships with vendors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pest control, security system, grease removal, etc.

-Participate as an active member on the Health and Safety Committee and conduct internal inspections of all facilities together with other committee members. 

-Maintain inventory of building and grounds supplies for all facilities.

-Prepare rooms as needed for meetings, groups, and rentals.

-Complete documentation to assure compliance with criteria and standards required by licensing and funding sources and completes necessary electronic entries and all required agency forms.

-Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information related to clients and programs.

-Understand and adhere to YWCA Employee Handbook and all YWCA Policies and Procedures.

-Meet with supervisor on a regular basis to keep apprised of events, problems, needs, etc.

-Maintain required annual training hours.

-Maintain cooperative and communicative relationships with peers, employees, partners and Board as appropriate.

-Participate in annual special events, including holiday planning and annual fundraising events.

-Perform other duties as assigned by CEO and work as a team member with YWCA staff and administration.

Other Job Requisites: 

-This is a non-exempt employee position.

-Hours for this position may be irregular and include some evening and weekend hours.

-Overtime must be approved ahead of time. 

-Physical ability to lift (up to) fifty pounds is necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Must have a minimum of one-year facility maintenance experience.
