Yulista Support Services LLC is Hiring a Remote Airframe Sheet Metal Tech

Yulista Support Services LLC Regular PRIMARY FUNCTION The Airframe Sheet Metal Technician is responsible for ensuring that aircraft and equipment is functioning safely and efficiently. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Fabricates, assembles, and installs prototype equipment used in research and development information on a large variety of aircraft ranging from single airplanes to complex, multiengine jets and helicopters • Interprets military technical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders and blue prints • Installs prototype equipment on aircraft and make modifications to the existing airframe to accommodate installations • Coordinates with project engineer personnel throughout the project providing technical assistance to project engineers, contractors, ad factory representatives, etc. • Performs sheet metal repairs to a variety of aircraft, possess an in-depth knowledge of sheet metal materials and repair techniques • Works with various thickness of aluminum, steel alloys, stainless steel, copper, brass and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the fabrication of production metal parts for aircraft modifications • Operates tools and equipment associated with sheet metal shop operation such as protractors, calipers, gauges, crimping tools/machines, forming machines, lathes, milling machines, saws, drilling presses, gas and heli-arc welding machine • Understand and interprets blueprints, schematics and rudimentary drawings • The Airframe Sheet Metal Technician may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES • Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred • Ability to enter data accurately into databases. • Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc. • Ability to follow a process. • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and followup. • Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management. • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals. • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently • Ability to multi-task • Climbs on top of and down from aircraft using aircraft hand/foot holds, capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. overhead, on feet all day, walk up to 2 miles per day. QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma / Equivalent • Minimum five (5) years recent and total experience in Airframe repair, plus a demonstrated ability to fabricate complex items from rudimentary drawings or verbal direction. • Must have ability understand, interpret and apply technical manual (TM) instructions as well as other approved sources of technical information. • Familiarity with Y-Tech’s policies and procedures • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance • Must have a shadowed toolbox and a complete set of Airframe Sheet Metal Tools PREFERENCE STATEMENT Preference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants and to spouses of Calista shareholders, and to shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g).
