Yuba Community College District is Hiring a Child Development Instructional Specialist - Full Time Near Yuba, CA

Location: Yuba College - Marysville, CA.
Job Description:
Under the direction of an an Administrator or designee, plan, organize and evaluate learning experiences for Early Childhood Education students and children in a children's center learning lab environment.

Essential Duties Summary:
Required Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must meet existing applicable state regulations, specifically: any combination equivalent to 24 units ECE/CD including core courses plus 16 GE units plus 6 units specialization, plus 2 units of adult supervision, and 3 units of Infant/Toddler course required by CCL Title 22 AND 350 days experience in a child care center environment within the past four years. Must maintain permit by continuing professional development signed off by a certified professional development instructor. (Permit must be applied for within 30 days of the hire date)
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
A valid Child Development Master Teacher Permit or equivalent. - (Permit must be applied for within 30 days of the hire date)
A valid First Aid, CPR and AED Certificate issued by an authorized agency.
A California Child Care Provider Health and Safety Certificate (to be obtained within 30 working days from date of hire.)
Drivers license and/or ability to provide own transportation to and from assigned sites
Position is categorically funded, position is contingent upon continued funding and Board approval.
1. Education Code 87408.6 states that no person shall be initially employed by a community college district in an academic or classified position unless the person has submitted to an examination within the past sixty (60) days to determine that he/she/they is free of active tuberculosis.
2. As a condition of employment, the position you are applying for will require that you provide fingerprints to the local police department. The fees charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI for the fingerprint report is the employees responsibility.
Fingerprint clearance must be received prior to the employees first day on the job.

Salary Range: $22.51 - $28.79 Per Hour (Steps 3 - 11) Placement will be based on both the candidate's years of experience and educational qualifications.

The Child Development Instructional Specialist position is classified as Full Time (1.0 FTE - 12 Months), entails an average commitment of 40 hours per week. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, within the timeframe of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
