Youth Development is Hiring a MIS Manager Near Albuquerque, NM

BA Degree in Computer Sciences or related field of study plus three (3) years data processing experience including systems and analysis/administration, application systems development and design, and training the end user on the system or any combination of education and experience to equal 9 years.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BA Degree in Computer Sciences or related field of study plus three (3) years data processing experience including systems and analysis/administration, application systems development and design, and training the end user on the system or any combination of education and experience to equal 9 years.

Experience should include managing complex information systems including system analysis, Windows NT experience and A or MCSC certification preferred.

Must demonstrate leadership ability.

Knowledge of PC operation systems.

Knowledge of networks operating systems including Windows 98.

Knowledge of relational database structure and HTML preferred.

Knowledge of TCP/IP network administration and of principles and characteristics of general-purpose information, including office automation.

Knowledge of computer based learning program.

Ability to develop power point presentations, organizational charts and flowcharts.

Conducts all technology to provide audiovisual presentations for staff pre-service and in-service training.

Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting department policy and staff supervision matters.

Ability to organize personnel and operations to accomplish project goals within established time limitations.

Broad knowledge of rules, regulations, and policy applicable in the processing or completion of business details.

Ability to work well with a team.

Must have good written and oral communication skills.

Must be able to use discretion in all facets of work-related situations.

Ability to perform all works rapidly and accurately, meeting all deadlines when applicable.

The content area manager is responsible to monitor services in compliance with all performance standards and protocols. On-going monitoring of the established systems and services are imperative to ensure quality services. The content area manager must be able to demonstrate and articulate their on-going monitoring methodology and demonstrate documentation of all systems and services.

JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position is exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a professional position which requires organizational and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact and diplomacy in contacts with Youth Development, Inc. employees, community residents, parents and local government agencies. Strict adherence is required to all regulations concerning confidentiality.

Background check including fingerprints required. Physical and TB Skin test is required upon hire, and may be required intermittently.

Frequent travel is required by employee and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required.

Youth Development, Inc. is an at-will employer. Employment is by mutual consent of the company and employee, and either may terminate the relationship at any time with or without cause or advance notice. This job is contingent upon funding; however, availability of funding is not a guarantee of continued employment, nor does it imply any specific term of employment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Not Inclusive):

  • Creates goals and objectives for the department to capture program information in a timely basis.

  • Plans and effective monitoring system using technology for on-going monitoring.

  • Provides status reports on a bi-monthly time table to include:

  • Enrollment

  • Developmental Assessments

  • Insures that Health/dental screenings and exams to include:

  • Heights & Weights

  • Vision

  • Hearing and

  • Hematocrits to be completed within 90 days of enrollment.

  • Family Partnerships Agreements

  • Positive Child Outcomes

  • Children with diagnosed disabilities.

  • Train all Program Information Specialists utilizing the HISFIS system.

  • Provide income reports to the nutrition department on a monthly basis.

  • Ensure that 90% of the Head Start enrollees are income eligible.

  • Maintain a waiting list of eligible children.

  • Provide Cluster level reports upon request from Center Director.

  • Provides monthly status reports based on the master calendar.

  • Other duties as assigned.
