Youth Crisis Center is Hiring a CHILDREN'S GROUP FACILITATOR Near Saint Augustine, FL

We have two (2) part-time positions available.

You MUST be able to work Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 4:00pm AND when groups are scheduled, 5:00pm - 8:00pm

Position Overview

The Child Group Facilitator for the SNAP (STOP NOW AND PLAN) program reports to the SNAP Supervisor and is a full-time hourly position. The SNAP Child Group Facilitator is a position which focuses on early intervention programs for boys, ages 6 – 11 who are engaging in aggressive, anti-social behavior and have encountered police. This is a highly visible position with the children and their families and helps with the day-to-day aspects of the SNAP Program. Providesadministrative support for the Specialist and Supervisor.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of SNAP Program Policies, Procedures and Performance Standards

  • Knowledge of data collection methods for evaluating program effectiveness.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Occupation specific tasks and the most important generalized work activities are listed for the SNAP Child Group Facilitator:

  • Provides support to staff responsible for intakes, case management, and therapeutic work with youth and families, including client related case management decisions and therapeutic interventions, as needed.
  • Responsible for conducting weekly follow-up calls to families.
  • Responsible for the creating and breaking down of client files, including notifying SNAP Supervisor when client intake and client discharge file is complete.
  • Assist the Supervisor with group preparations, including setup of equipment, ordering and setup of food, and needed group supplies.
  • Administers Assessments, Screenings and Measures required by the SNAP curriculum.
  • Monitors program curriculum for training delivery and effectiveness.
  • Assists with ensuring compliance with Florida Network contract requirements.
  • Ensures accurate and timely completion of all documentation for programmatic and administrative compliance and fiscal responsibility.
  • Participates in community activities to promote SNAP Program and to build collaboration with community partners.
  • Facilitate groups for the participants of the SNAP program, utilizing the evidenced based SNAP curriculum.
  • Meet with individual and family participants outside the group environment either 1;1 or family support, as needed.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings, bi-weekly consultations, and staff meetings.
  • Attends required training as determined by the SNAP Program contract.
  • Assist with client and family transport as needed.
  • Responsible for completion of training objectives within the established timeframe.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

A high school degree and a minimum of 6 months related work experience facilitating group meetings with youth.
