Position is for one or two Home Care Aides to provide care for a quadriplegic in a home in Saginaw Township.

Duties may include bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, meal prep, feeding, providing drinks, turning in a hospital bed, transfers to and from a wheelchair (using a lift), transportation in a wheelchair van (provided), light housework, etc.

Two shifts available: Sundays, 7 AM-3 PM and every other Monday, 4 PM-11 PM. Other shifts may be available on an as needed and volunteer basis.

1 year of home care experience required

Experience caring for a quadriplegic desired but not required

CNA desired but not required

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must be able to follow verbal directions

A background check may be performed

Only US citizens and non-smokers should apply

NOTE: The client is a good-sized man standing 6 feet tall and weighing 215 pounds. If you are slight without experience, getting up there in years, or otherwise have physical traits that would prevent you from turning, dressing, etc. someone of the noted stature, you may consider other opportunities. I don't want to discourage you from applying. I have had good caregivers of every size, race, age, and experience.

Pay: $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
