Your IT Recruiter is looking for a Senior Big Data Engineer for our client.
- Maintaining, enhancing, and refactoring infrastructure operations code in Python to help automate tasks that ensure systems are properly up and running.
- Supporting Hadoop clusters running on Cloudera by applying critical security patches, remediating vulnerabilities, and pro-actively planning to ensure clusters have sufficient storage.
- Familiarity with Nifi, and the ability to partner with developers and architects to ensure its capabilities are properly managed and exploited.
Requirements
- US Citizenship required due to having a DoD Secret Clearance
- Linux expertise
- Cloudera administration experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to document technical solutions in support of standards and best practices
- Ability to work independently in closed program area
- Experience supporting Big Data systems in a Linux environment
- Experience with delivering automation capabilities
- A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration/ Continuous Development practices
- Exposure to Agile practices and tools
- Expertise with Linux operating system fundamentals such as kernel parameters, navigating directories, and troubleshooting code
- Nifi Administration
