Your Home Town Medical Equipment, INC is looking for a Durable Medical Equipment Technician to join our team. We are looking for the right professional to join us in helping maintain, delivering, and troubleshooting a variety of medical devices. Equipment will primarily be oxygen delivery equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining, servicing, and cleaning equipment per guidelines within the clinical and patient home setting.
• Obtains and interprets medical documentation, compares documentation with insurance coverage criteria, and creates orders to provide home medical equipment and supplies.
• Performs accurate and timely data entry into operating system and processes orders for appropriate equipment and supplies to ensure for timely delivery and correct billing.
• Communicates with patients, employees, caregivers, and other health care providers on status of orders.
• Ensures compliance with Medicare, Medicaid and Accreditation Standards.
• May focus duties on other equipment/supply groups as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Hours are set at Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8am - 4pm.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record

EXPERIENCE

• Two years' experience in home medical equipment is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-50 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, health care providers, and customers.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
