JOB DESCRIPTION:
A leading U.S. Manufacturing company and importer of packaging equipment and shrink film products. For the past 34 years our packaging company has provided its customers with packaging equipment and supplies of all varieties. As a Machine Operator, you are responsible to set-up and run machinery to produce daily customer orders on designated product lines, as well as basic equipment maintenance.
SHIFT:
Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
WILL TRAIN ON DAY SHIFT FOR 2-WEEKS ROM 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
JOB DUTIES:

• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull and carry 1-50 pounds.
• Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of problems during machine operation.
• Perform safety checks on the machine prior to and during runtime.
• Ensure that quality products are being produced.
• Create and maintain activity/job logs as required.
• Meet specified production performance targets.
• Participate in production process improvement efforts.
• Ensure all safety devices and guards are fully operational.
• Perform safety checks on every machine prior to and during runtime.
• Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output.
• Ensure that sufficient material is available to meet the production quota and scheduled run.
• Folding and seaming the master rolls into a sleeve
• Load/ unload rolls onto the machine
• Being able to stand for 8hrs a day

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Punctual (need someone that will SHOW UP when they are supposed to)
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Problem solving and trouble shooting.
• Basic math skills.
• Fluid communication, both verbally and written in the English language.
• Good attendance and reliability.
• Work well with other internal and external departments in a helpful and courteous manner.
• Lifting requirements – up to 50lbs.
