JOB DESCRIPTION:
This company manufactures structural steel pipe and tube, as well as steel roll-formed profiles. If you want to make great money, working for an amazing company, Schaeffer industries is in search of an enthusiastic individual to work in our steel manufacturing warehouse. Schaeffer Industries (an established 40-year Company) is growing, and we want you to join our production team! Schaeffer Industries is looking for employees to work in our manufacturing environment. Labor clean-up helper. Will be trained on sealing/weather-proofing concrete. Hard worker heavy lifter type, some tape measure knowledge. Steel Toed boots, Safety Glasses, Hard Hat, Gloves. Must have PPE or use equipment from the Company. Need their own transportation to job site.
JOB DUTIES:
- Operating production line machines
- Helping to set up and monitor the machines while running
- Inspecting products
- Helping to move materials
- Organizing the workplace, tools, and materials
- Cleaning up steel scraps and remnants
- Packaging products
- Learning the valuable skill of maintaining equipment
- Maintaining the highest level of safety standards and practices
- Working safely around forklifts and cranes
- Automation with robots is part of our manufacturing process. Robotic technology and machine upgrades have been integrated to take on the burden of physical labor, and to create a comfortable and safe environment for our employees so they can focus on quality.
- Punctual (need someone that will SHOW UP when they are supposed to)
- Eligible candidates who pass the assessments will be offered a temp-to-hire position at $18.23 per hour. This also means that we may offer $17/hr, temp-only positions through YES to candidates whom we like but who did not pass our assessments. There is also a $1.00 attendance incentive for each pay period!
- STEEL TOE WORK BOOTS
- HARD HAT, GLOVES, HEARING PROTECTION, AND SAEFTY GLASSES PROVIDED
6:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Thursday, Friday on call
