Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. Your main duties will include patrolling assigned areas, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to security incidents.
Duties:
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activity
- Investigate and report any suspicious behavior or incidents to the appropriate authorities
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and prevent theft or damage
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering questions, and providing directions
- Conduct regular inspections of access points, ensuring they are secure and functioning properly
- Complete detailed incident reports documenting any security-related incidents or accidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during emergencies or criminal investigations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and surveillance systems (CCTV)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly on your feet
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
