Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and accounting principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Quickbooks General Ledger and Quickbooks Payroll
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for clients
- Quarterly payroll reporting & filing and year end reporting
- Research inquires about payroll taxes, withholdings etc. for federal and multiple states
- Set up and register new business with Federal, State & Local Authorities
- Sales Tax reporting & filing
- Form 1099 preparation & filing
- Other accounting task as needed
This position is full time with overtime and potential for an eventual department managerial roll.
Salary will be based on experience
