The Heart of the Valley YMCA is hiring a Sports & Rec Director. As a leader within our Sports & Recreation department, you’ll develop, grow and support the programs and services of our branch in Kimberly, Wisconsin. This is a slam-dunk for anyone with passion for athletics and sports. As the team captain, you’ll be responsible for recruiting, training, managing and coaching staff. Other responsibilities include budgeting, relationship building with members, guests & volunteers, and providing continued growth of the department to meet the needs of our community. This is a full-time exempt career role and opportunities for growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Previous experience working with school age children is preferred but not required.
• Previous leadership experience is required, preferably in a sports & recreation environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal & customer service skills including a high-level of written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task within busy work environment.
• Prior experience with budget development & management, income production & expense control and training & supervisory skills.
• Self-motivated, self-directed and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proven ability to establish favorable relationships with community organizations.
