The Fox West YMCA is hiring both full-time and part-time child care teachers. Child care teachers at the Y interact affectionately and respectfully with children and appreciate the child's & their family's interests. Our teachers enhance children's learning experiences through play, language and interactive activities. As a teacher in YoungStar-rated child care center, you’ll use positive procedures when guiding behavior as well as being attentive, flexible and supportive of children and families.

This is a full-time position with hours of availability, Monday through Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Part-time morning shifts Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM or part-time afternoon shifts Monday - Friday 11:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Must be 18 years of age and have completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI.

Entry-Level Assistant Positions: Willing to obtain early childhood coursework/credentials. Staff have the ability to complete early childhood workbooks for qualifications through the Y. All applicants are encouraged to apply.

Lead Teacher Positions: Must have minimum of Introduction to the Child Care Profession and Skills and Strategies for the Childcare teacher or equivalent. Teachers working in an infant room must have Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care or its equivalent within 6 months of hire. Prefer associates degree in Early Childhood education, however not required. Experience of 1-2 years working with children.
