JOB LOCATION: Various locations in the Des Moines MetroHOURLY RATE: $19.00-$22.50HOURS/DAYS SCHEDULE:Weekday evenings and/or Weekends; number of hours varies based on class schedule and your availability. Minimum of two courses a year, with more hours available for candidates if wanting. CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: May 28, 2024 - Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

POSITION OVERVIEW:Operating within the policies, procedures, and practices of the YMCA of Greater Des Moines, this position is responsible for conducting American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR training courses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Prepare training site and materials for each course
2. Conduct required training courses according to American Red Cross standards
3. Submit completion record to Supervisor
4. Communicate participant feedback to Supervisor as necessary
5. Notify Supervisor of any training supply needs
6. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
7. Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
