YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF THE GREATER TWIN CITIES is Hiring a Child Care Program Director Near Minneapolis, MN

1.Job Summary: 

Under the direction of the District Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for developing, delivering, and administering the varied program portfolios of all community based Child Care programs.

2.Essential Functions: 

·Supports equity and inclusion in all aspects of program

·Recruit, hire, train, and manage staff.

·Develop and manage programs and activities in the area of community based child care programming.

·Develop and manage department budget.

·Complete required administrative work for the department.

·Communicate childcare program information and interpret policies and operating procedures to all department staff, volunteers, and members.

·Develop and supervise systems and maintain accurate records related to above programs.

·Take a leadership role in Y Annual Fund.

·Provide high level of service to team members and program participants.

·Maintains CACFP and Minnesota Department of Health Licensing for meals and snacks, if applicable.

·Maintain MN or WI program license, NAEYC and Parent Aware as applicable

·Provide leadership to other locations as needed

3.Relationships:

This position reports to the District Supervisor who reports to the VP of Childhood L and D. The incumbent interacts regularly with children, parents, participants, and members.

4.Qualifications: 

Required:

·Meet Minnesota DHS Rule 3 or Wisconsin HFS 46 Teacher qualifications, including yearly in service requirements

·Minimum of 2 years’ experience in child care program design, implementation, and evaluation.

·Adult and child CPR or CPR/PR, First Aid, and AED Certifications within 30 days of hire date. 

·Minimum 1 year experience in management/supervision.

·Strong interpersonal communication skills.

·Self-directed individual, skilled in creative problem solving.

·Must be computer literate.

Preferred:

·Experience in fundraising/financial development

5.Work Conditions:

·Ability to travel locally to attend meetings

·Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time

·Perform all physical aspects of the position, including frequently moving around, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.

·Ability to recognize and react calmly and effectively in hazardous/dangerous situations.

·May provide children with assistance in dealing with issues such as personal hygiene, medical needs, toileting, diapering, lifting, writing, feeding, and getting in or out of transportation.

·May be exposed to verbal outbursts, physical actions or bodily fluids as part of the child care environment
