Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual to join our team as Summer Activity Staff. As a staff member, you will be responsible for organizing and leading recreational activities for children during the summer months. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people through engaging and educational experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities and games suitable for different age groups.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities and excursions.
• Supervise and engage with children during scheduled activities, providing guidance and encouragement as needed.
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of activity areas.
• Communicate effectively with parents, fellow staff members and director to provide updates, address concerns, and promote a positive experience.
• Act as a positive role model, demonstrate good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for others.
• Adhere to all center policies and procedures, including safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience working with children in recreational, or educational settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and engage with children of diverse backgrounds.
• Energetic, creative, and enthusiastic personality with a passion for working with youth.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, initiative, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training may be provided).
• Ability to pass a background check.

Schedule:

This is a seasonal position for the duration of the summer camp program. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
