BRIEF DESCRIPTION / POSITION SUMMARY:

Yorkville CUSD 115 has an opening for a Summer School- campus monitor at Yorkville High School. Semester 2: July 8-11,15-18,22-25, 8am -1pm

The Campus Monitor supports a vibrant, positive and active student-centered campus culture focused on building- student connectedness, healthy relationships, and student ownership. This position works collaboratively with staff under the direction of District Security to protect the health and welfare of students & staff. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate well with students, staff, and stakeholders.

Works on student attendance days

• Ability to relate and communicate with a diverse student population in order to build positive relationship
• Ability to work with a team in order to create a positive and safe environment
• Active supervision skills required in order to monitor areas for an extended period of time
• Able to deal tactfully and respectfully with student population
• Ability to engage community members in a positive, respectful and helpful manner
