ØCoordinates withteachers, college and university personnel, resource specialists and/orcommunity (e.g., service clubs, courts, child protective services) toprovide/receive requested information and/or making recommendations.
ØCounsels students,parents, and guardians to enhance student success in school.
ØDevelops a variety ofspecial programs (e.g., career night, financial aid workshops) for the purposeof providing information to assist students in the successful transition fromhigh school to career, training and/or continuing education.
ØMonitors students’progress to identify issues and taking appropriate action for increasingstudent success.
ØPrepares applicationsfor students (e.g., scholarships, college, financial aid) to ensure completionof application processes within designated time frames.
ØPresents information(e.g., budget overviews, accounting processes, distribution formulas) for thepurpose of gaining feedback and ensuring adherence to established internalcontrols.
ØResearches programeligibility requirements (e.g., financial aid, college eligibility) to provideup-to-date and accurate counsel to students.
ØSchedules studentclasses to secure appropriate placement to meet their graduation and collegeeligibility requirements.
ØSupervises assignedprograms (e.g., scholarships, peer counseling, special education, ESL) formonitoring performance, providing professional growth and achieving overallcurriculum objectives.
ØPerforms other dutiesas assigned by the principal to ensure the efficient and effective functioningof the department.
