What You Will Do

• Assesses weights, vital signs, Intake and Output, etc.; documents and communicates pertinent patient information with nurses.
• Assists with/provides personal hygiene for patient including bath/shower, oral care, toileting, shaving, etc.
• Prepares patients for meals, serves trays, provide assistance with eating as needed. Assures patients are provided with fresh water/ice water every shift.
• Assists with patient repositioning, activity, and ambulation; escorts patients being admitted, dismissed or ambulating.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly, makes up unoccupied units, and assists with utility and storage room cleanliness and orderliness.
• Responds to patient call lights, assists with communications, answers phones when nurses and ward clerks cannot.

What You Need

• Good communication skills, a caring nature, and an ability to prioritize tasks
• BLS certification
