Family Liaison

Do you have a passion to make a difference and positively impact young children and their families? At YCCAC Head Start, we are more than a daycare. We are committed to providing high-quality child care and comprehensive education, health and well-being services to children from 6 weeks to 5 years. We are now hiring a Family Liaison to join us in our mission of creating a warm and supportive environment where children and families can thrive.

Your role:

• Ensures that quality, comprehensive services are provided for enrolled children and families, and is directly involved in recruitment and enrollment program wide. 
• Supports families to develop goals and to access community services and resources utilizing a Family Development model.
• Works in partnership with program staff to provide technical assistance to enhance their ability to develop and support family goals; and contributes to ensuring the agency’s full compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards.
• Works with families to meet all health requirements and refers for emergency assistance and referrals.
• Conducts at least two home visits per year, along with additional center/home visits.
• Networks within YCCAC programs, other agencies and community service providers to support comprehensive services for families.

Qualifications: 

• The Family Liaison must have an Associate’s Degree in Human Services or closely related field, along with prior family service experience.
• The Family Liaison is expected to complete Family Development Training within the first year of employment.
• Experience working in the field of social services desired.
• Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis). 
• Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.
